Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction device capable of correctly writing information on paper irrespective of the orientation of the paper taken, and a method of handling paper using the transaction device.SOLUTION: A transaction device 1 includes a device main body 2, an intake/discharge unit 27, a control unit 70, a writing unit 33 and an adjustment unit 34. The intake/discharge unit 27 takes in paper into the device main body 2, and the control unit 70 specifies the orientation of the paper taken into the device main body 2 by the intake/discharge unit 27. The writing unit 33, movable inside the device main body 2, writes information on the paper taken into the device main body 2 by the intake/discharge unit 27. The adjustment unit 34 adjusts a position of the writing unit 33 according to the orientation of the paper specified by the control unit 70, prior to the writing unit 33 writing information on the paper.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
