PURPOSE: To make it possible to operate even a transaction processor with a single function as a multi-function processor by connecting a medium transporting device between the transaction processor and a medium processor to transfer media.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of executing a transaction by using a transaction processor (e.g. an automatic teller machine) 11, a customer inserts/ejects a medium (paper money, a card, etc.) through a medium insertion/ejection port to allow a transaction, and at the time of replenishing/recovering media to/from the processor 11, the media are replenished/recovered by the medium transporting device 13 for optionally connecting the processor 11 to the medium processor 12 and transferring media. In this case, the device 13 is constituted of a handling robot. By this even the processor 11 having a single function can be handled as a multi-function transaction processor.
