To provide a transaction system capable of reducing inconvenience that is subjected to a customer due to handling termination of an automatic transaction device.

The automatic transaction device includes certificate issuing means for issuing a handling termination certificate in response to the customer's request operation in a handling termination state of a transaction relating to its own device. A counter terminal includes notifying means for notifying a third party having a transactional relation to the customer who issues the handling termination certificate of notification information representing directly or indirectly that the customer can not execute a transaction because of the handling termination of the automatic transaction device on the condition of the existence of the handling termination certificate. Since the counter terminal notifies the third party having the relation to the customer that the transaction can not be executed even though the customer can not execute the transaction at that time due to the handling termination of the automatic transaction device, the inconvenience subjected to the customer by the handling termination can be reduced.
