To reduce a transfer or suspension time, by providing an intermittently feeding mechanism holding package blocks in small containing chambers from the alternate motion with a ram device, in a device transferring package blocks like tabacco from a delivery position to the small containing chambers of a turnatable by the ram device.

A turntable 2 is provided with four small containing chambers 3 for package blocks 4 and periodically rotated. Collar pieces are inserted in the small containing chambers in the first working condition and the inserted pieces are joined in the subsequent second working condition. And further, the block 4 supplied by a reciprocating rotary ram 13 is transferred to a higher level of the small containing chamber 3 by the ram device 14, in the third working condition. In this time, the lift ram 16 of the ram device 14 cooperates with an intermittent feeding mechanism 22 to hold the block 4 in the small containing chamber 3 and a holding slider 23 reciprocates through a control cam 24 driven by a driving cam 29 for the intermittent feed.
