In a transfer feeder, a pair of transfer bars 3 juxtaposed in a feed direction A is driven in a two-dimensional direction with a feed driving means 7 and a lift driving means 5 and also driven in a three-dimensional direction with the feed driving means 7, the lift driving means 5 and a clamp driving means 6, whereby a work is carried to respective working stations. In such a case, the feed driving means 7 driving the transfer bar 3 in the feed direction A is independently provided every transfer bar 3, and a feed carrier 7a provided in respective feed driving means 7 is reciprocated in the feed direction A via a feed screw shaft 7b consisting of a ball screw rotated by a feed motor 7d consisting of the servomotor. Since the feed carrier 7a is miniaturized and lightened, high speed driving by the small sized feed motor 7d is allowed.
