Title:
TRANSFER PLATE FOR LASER MARKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3918892
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform precise marking regardless of the thickness or material of an object to be marked by making a solid coating adhere to one side of a substrate having transparent properties against a laser beam, a solid coating with such a characteristic as instantly evaporates or sublimates when the substrate is irradiated with a laser beam from the other side.
SOLUTION: A transfer plate 1 for laser marking makes a solid coating 3 adhere to one side 2a of a substrate 2 having transparent properties against a laser beam, a solid coating 3 with such a characteristic as instantly evaporates or sublimates when the substrate 2 is irradiated with a laser beam from the other side 2b. The shape of the transfer plate 1 for laser marking can be decided differently depending on a desired marking pattern. No solid coating needs to have a single layer structure in its entirety. For example, assuming that the solid coating is of a double layer structure in which a laser beam absorbing black layer 4 by chromium oxide is superimposed successively on the metallic colored solid coating 3 by chrome, it suppresses reflection of the solid coating 3, enhancing absorptivity of a laser beam.
