To transfer a highly precise transfer design to an object M to be printed by improving a pattern of vacuum suction process on pull-out work frames 20, 30 assembled into an upper/lower two-stage structure below a hot plate 40.
In preparation for printing, a transfer sheet S and the object M are overlaid sequentially on a rubber sheet 21 of the lower stage work frame 20 pulled out from a machine frame 10. During the preparation, a heat-resistant cloth is overlaid on the transfer sheet S and object M that are overlaid on the upper stage work frame 30 as the arrangement on the lower stage work frame 20, and the upper stage frame 30 is vacuum sucked, then is heated by the hot plate 40. As the upper stage frame 30 is heated, a sublimable dye migrates from the transfer sheet S to the object M, transferring a prescribed print pattern to the object M. After this transfer printing process is over, the upper work frame 30 is pulled out of the machine frame 10 and is replaced with the lower work frame 20 that is inserted into the machine frame 10 to be subjected to the same transfer printing process. The transfer printing processes, therefore, can be repeated intermittently, which reduces waiting time substantially, thus improves work efficiency. When each work frame 20, 30 is vacuum sucked, air is sucked from an air outlet formed on the inner surface of the casing composing the work frame 20, 30 to eliminate an air turbulence, which prevents a shift of the transfer sheet S to obtain a clear transfer pattern.
