Title:
TRANSFER SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0338388
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a light-resistant transfer sheet whose transfer layer generates no fading or discoloration after transfer by mixing a hexagonal system ZnO fine powder into the inside surface of the transfer layer in contact with a base material.

CONSTITUTION: A transfer sheet is a light-resistance transfer sheet wherein a transfer layer is formed to the single surface of a base material and a hexagonal system ZnO fine powder is mixed into the inside surface of the transfer layer in contact with the base material. As the base material, a polyester film, a polypropylene film, other various plastic films a metal foil, paper or cellophane can be used. The hexagonal system ZnO fine powder is a fine powder having a particle size of 400 or less. When the particle size exceeds 400, turbidity is generated and transparency is lost. As the hexagonal system ZnO fine powder, one having purity of 96% or more is used. When purity is not 96% or more, turbidity is occasionally generated. The hexagonal system ZnO fine powder is mixed into the resin of a release layer in a wt. ratio of 1 : 1 -0.1. When the amount of the hexagonal system ZnO fine powder is more than that of the resin, turbidity is generated and transparency is lost and, when the amount of said fine powder is less than 1/10 the resin, no sufficient light fastness is obtained.
