Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simpler method and/or mechanism of reducing physical or psychological burdens on both a person in need of care and a caretaker when transferring between a wheelchair and a bed.SOLUTION: The transfer support method includes the steps of: fitting a sliding board (80) to a wheelchair (60) having a seat part (300) that includes at least one transfer mechanism (340) formed by endlessly winding a sheet material (344) around at least a pair of rotary shafts (342); mounting a transfer tool (40) on the sheet material (344) of the transfer mechanism (340); and moving the transfer tool (40) such that moving of the transfer tool (40) in a direction from on the seat (300) onto the sliding board (80) or in a direction opposite to the direction is interlocked with rotation of the sheet material (344) in a circumferential direction, and/or rotating the sheet material (344) in the circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
