Title:
TRANSFER-TYPE THEREMOSENSITIVE INK SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6264596
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a thermosensitive ink sheet capable of being transferred to low- smoothness paper, by constituting a thermal ink sheet of a base layer and an ink layer comprising resin particles, in which a coloring agent and a ferromagnetic particulate material are dispersed, and a binder.

CONSTITUTION: An ink sheet 3 comprises a base layer 31, resin particles 32 and a binder 33, and an ink layer comprises the resin particles 32 and the binder 33. When the ink sheet 3 and a transfer paper 5 are led to a heating part 8 of a thermal head in a laminated state, the binder 33 having a low melting point in the ink sheet 3 is melted. At this time, the ink making contact with the transfer paper 5 is adhered to the transfer paper 5, and an ink not making contact with the paper 5 is also moved onto the paper 5 since particles 32c of a ferromagnetic material in the resin particles 32 are attracted by the magnetic forces of a magnet 9 disposed on the back side of the paper 5. In this case, since the low melting point binder 33 is used, the cohesive force of the resin particles 32 is small, and the effect of the magnetic force is highly displayed. The resin particles 32 thus transferred are supported on the transfer paper 5 by the cohesive force of the binder 33. If required, heating by a fixing device is further conducted, whereby the resin is melted, and assured fixing is performed.
