PURPOSE: To accomplish the steady conveyance of a transfer material and toner transfer by passing the transfer material between the outside of a two-layer transfer material conveying belt having an electrified dielectric layer outside and an earthed conductive body layer inside and an electric charge injection roller.
CONSTITUTION: The transfer material 22 passes through between the two-layer transfer material conveying belt 21 and the electric charge injection roller 26. The transfer material conveying belt consists of the dielectric layer outside and the earthed conductive body layer inside. An electric charge is supplied to the dielectric body layer of the belt by means of crontron 25 for electrostatic charge. While, the transfer material 22 is supplied with an electric charge via the roller 26; the electric charge is a reversed polarity to the electric charge supplied to the dielectric body. The transfer material 22 and the belt 21 are tightly attracted to each other by means of the electrostatic attraction of these electric charges. Besides, a toner image which is formed on a photosensitive body 1 is transferred to the transfer material 22 due to the electrostatic attraction by which the electric charge supplied to the belt 21 and a toner electric charge are attracted to each other. Then, when the belt 21 and the transfer material 22 are separated, they are destaticized by the work of the conductive body layer of the belt 21 and toner turbulence at the time of separation is prevented.
