PURPOSE: To perform reliable and high-efficient removal and collection of interleaves by a method wherein a sucker for a glass sheet and a sucking pad for an interleaf are individually vertically moved and protruded and retracted and the protrusion and retraction of the sucker are effected in a two-stage linear advancing state.
CONSTITUTION: When suckers 24, 24,... are brought into pressure contact with a frontmost glass sheet 6 placed on a pallet 4, the glass sheet 6 is sucked through braking of a longitudinal cylinder 25. When suction cylinders each having a low stroke are reciprocated as right and left timings are staggered from each other, a distance is provided as suction of the interleaf is prevented by braking the cylinder 25 and the suction cylinder is raised and stopped through operation of a follow-up elevating cylinder 17. Consecutively, suction pads 29 and 29 are lowered and protruded and caused to suck the lower edge of a frontmost interleaf 5 leaning against the glass sheet 6 and reciprocated to increase a distance between the interleaf 5 under suction and the glass sheet 6. Consecutively, when the suction pad 29 is rotated approximately in a 90° arc during oscillating rise of an arm 14, the edge of the interleaf 5 under suction is varied into a down state. This constitution prevents slip down of the interleaf and prevents the occurrence of peel.
