To provide a transflective liquid crystal display device more improved in display quality by improving color reproducibility, and to provide a method for manufacturing the transflective liquid crystal display device.
A third layer part 36 inclining from a first layer part 34 toward a second layer part 35 is provided between the first layer part 34 and the second layer part 35 of a color filter layer 33, which are different in layer thickness and are formed in a color filter substrate 30 of a transflective liquid crystal display panel 1 having a transmitting area 26 and a reflection area 27. Thus, the surface discontinuity of a transparent electrode 37 is hardly caused between the first layer part 34 and the second layer part 35, so that an alignment layer 38 is hardly piled.
