Title:
TRANSIENT SHAFT TORQUE MEASURING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63218831
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To continuously measure the output torque of an engine even when the number of rotations of a load shaft changes, by calculating engine torque on the basis of the angular velocity of a crank shaft, the angular velocity of the load shaft and the data of a data setting device. CONSTITUTION:An angle sensor 30 for detecting the angle of rotation of a crank shaft 29 is provided to an engine 22 tested. A load shaft 25 is connected to said shaft 29 through a connection shaft 28 and an angle sensor 31 detecting the rotationed speed of the load shaft 25 is provided. The output signals from these sensors 30, 31 are inputted to a control unit 32 and respectively latched to latch circuits 37, 38 as count values. In the unit 32, MPU 39 stores these latched count values in a memory 47. MPU 39 operates the engine torque of the engine on the basis of the values stored in the memory 47 and the moment of inertia and friction torque from a data setting device 40. This calculated torque is the output torque generated by the engine 22 and can be continuously measured even when the number of rotations of the load shaft 25 changes.
