Title:
TRANSLATION ALLOCATING MACHINE TRANSLATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3161942
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently and easily perform the quick reading or rough reading of an input sentence in a foreign language.
CONSTITUTION: A sentence inputted from an input means 1 is divided into the morpheme sequences of words, a word dictionary is referred to for each word, and the tense, person and number of those words are analyzed. Input sentence structure such as modification between words in this morpheme sequence is decided by a syntax analytic means 8, this is transformed into sentence structure corresponding to the translated sentence by a syntax transforming means 9, semantic consistency is inspected, and the translated words corresponding to the words are selected. Further, a translated sentence generating means 10 decides the arrangement of these translated words, controls inflection and generates the translated sentence. Thus, after the translating processing of morpheme analysis, syntax analysis and further translated sentence generation is performed, an output form shaping means 14 allocates the translation corresponding to the respective words of the input sentence and the translated words. Concerning this translation allocation, a translated word output discriminating means 12 discriminates whether or not the translated word is to be applied corresponding to the relation between a translation allocation level set by a translation allocation level setting means 5 and the translation allocation level of the word dictionary.
