Abstract:

To provide a translucent electromagnetic wave shielding material, having high durability capable of being seen through its interior by operating to shield an electromagnetic wave and installing the material on the front surface of a display device or the like.

This translucent electromagnetic wave shielding material is formed, by laminating a hydrophobic transparent resin coating film containing reduced metal particles (plating catalyst) on a transparent base material, laminating an electrolessly plating layer in a mesh-like state on the film, ad forming a mesh-like black part coincident with the plating layer under the plating layer. In this case, as the transparent resin, a hydrophobic polyvinyl acetal, a polycarbonate, a polycarbodiimide or a polyimide is used.
