Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a film having a markedly increased haze value as a measure of translucency by forming the film from a composition comprising a specified crystalline propylene/ethylene block copolymer and a specified organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION:An unoriented, unidirectionally oriented or biaxially oriented film containing at least one unoriented, unidirectionally oriented or biaxially oriented film produced from a composition comprising 100 pts.wt. crystalline propylene/ethylene block copolymer comprising 0.5-60wt.% block polymer part having an ethylene content of 50-100wt.% and 99.5-40wt.% propylene homopolymer part having a propylene content of 80wt.% or above or propylene/ another alpha-olefin copolymer part and 0.001-1 pt.wt. organic peroxide having a 10-hr half-life temperature of 60 deg.C or above.
