To provide a fire alarm equipment in which divided renewal construction for gradually changing old equipment to new equipment is performed, and to provide a transmission conversion repeater which can eliminate the need for tools (press-contact tools, etc.) for connecting a transmission line to a branch line and apparatuses (terminal boards, etc.) at the end of the divided renewal and can prevent generation of damages, or the like, in the apparatuses due to man-made mistakes.

While performing divided renewal for partially changing terminal apparatuses, an old fire receiver also monitors a renewal portion. Furthermore, the transmission conversion repeater is provided with a bypass line so that a branch line connecting the terminal apparatus is connected to a transmission line for connecting the fire receiver to the transmission conversion repeater via a switch at the end of the divided renewal. Consequently, the transmission line can be reconnected to the branch line, without having to detach the transmission conversion repeater.
