PURPOSE: To realize the transmission system having the transmission diversity effect even for a transmission line with a high delay diffusion with respect to the transmission diversity system in the TDD communication system.

CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with plural antennas 1-1, 1-2, receivers 4, 5 connecting respectively to the antennas, demodulators 6, 7 demodulating respectively outputs of the receivers, adaptive waveform equalizers 8, 9 connecting to each demodulator, a metric arithmetic circuit obtaining a square mean of error signals obtained from the adaptive waveform equalizers for one burst or for a specific time, a comparator 10 comparing the quantity of metric signals being an output of the metric arithmetic circuit, and a means selecting a branch having a minimum metric detected by the comparator and sending a signal from the antenna connecting to the branch.
