Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of a failure which has occurred in a certain network on the other network in a network system including a plurality of networks.SOLUTION: In a network system including an active transmission device for relaying the traffic of an active path between a first network and a second network, a transmission device is arranged at a boundary between the first network and the second network. The transmission device includes: a switch circuit for storing a first backup path arranged at the active path in the first network and a second backup path arranged at the active path in the second network and a bridge path arranged between the transmission device and the active transmission device; and a signal processing part for, when receiving a first signal indicating the failure of the active path from the first network, transmitting the first signal to the active transmission device, and for controlling the switch circuit in accordance with a second signal received from the active transmission device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
