Title:
TRANSMISSION SECONDARY ELECTRON SURFACE AND ELECTRON TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003263952
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a transmission secondary electron surface capable of efficient emission of secondary electrons by an incidence of primary electrons.

The transmissive secondary electron surface comprises a secondary electron emitting layer 1 made of diamond or a material containing diamond as a main component, a supporting frame 21 which reinforces mechanical strength of the layer 1, a first electrode 31 formed on a plane of the incidence of the layer 1, and a second electrode 32 formed on the plane of the emission of the layer 1. A voltage is applied between the planes of the incidence and the emission of the secondary electron emitting layer 1 to generate an electric field in the layer. An incidence of primary electrons into the layer 1 generates secondary electrons inside the layer, and they are accelerated by the electric field in the direction of the emission and emitted out of the transmissive secondary electron surface.
