To provide a transmission system capable of freely changing the number of lanes and increasing degree of freedom in a lane configuration, by correcting disalignment of data sequences in respective transmission channels due to differences in arrival time.
A transmission system includes: a transmitter for inputting a transmission data to be transmitted to the receiver; at least one relay for transmitting the data transmitted by the transmitter to the receiver; and a receiver for receiving the data transmitted by the relay. The transmitter inserts into the data sequences transmission channel information indicating a transmission channel to which the data sequence is outputted. The relay corrects, based on the detected transmission channel information, disalignment in an order of arrival of the data sequences received via each transmission channel generated by the differences in arrival time of the data sequences among the transmission channels.
