PURPOSE: To flexibly cope with a change in a system constitution and to enhance the degree of freedom at a branching point side by providing a path selection section applying path selection at a branch point of a transmission path and a storage means registering an individual identification code corresponding to the branching point.
CONSTITUTION: When information coming through a transmission path 2 reaches the path selection section 3, the selection section 3 collates the identification code ID of an address added to each information to be sent and an ID registered in a memory 4 to select any of transmission paths 5a-5c after the branching. Which of IDs (id1-id5) in the address is to be used or how it is discriminated or utilized is decided optionally by rewriting the content of the memory 4. For example, the identification codes may be decoded in the order of id1, id3, id5, id2, id4 or in the order of id1, id2, id3, id4, id5 and the final point is to be arrived. Since the ID utilization form in the address is changed at any time depending on the convenience of the branching point side, the system constitution is coped with flexibly and the degree of freedom of the branching point side is enhanced freely.
