Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress the glittering of a transmission type solar battery by transmitting light through an electrode layer composed of a metal layer and another layer formed principally of a metal boride so as to reduce the reflection of the light. CONSTITUTION:After a tin oxide layer 2 is deposited on a glass substrate 1 as a transparent conductive thin film, the substrate 1 is brought into a p-CVD device where a p-type amorphous silicon layer doped with boron, non-doped i-type amorphous silicon layer, and n-type amorphous silicon layer doped with phosphorus are successively deposited on the layer 2. Then the substrate is brought into a sputtering device where an electrode layer 6 is formed by successively depositing a silver thin film 4 and zirconium boride layer 5. Since the metal boride has a low refractive index, the electrode layer 6 is reduced in reflectance and transmits light when the electrode layer 6 is put on the room side of an automobile. Therefore, the people sitting in the room of the automobile do not have much glittering feelings on this solar battery.
