Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission capable of reducing a shock upon mode switching.SOLUTION: A control unit 120, upon performing switching from a low speed mode to a high speed mode, first performs a gear ratio control operation for controlling a geometric gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission mechanism 10 to a synchronous gear ratio at which a high speed dog clutch CH is engageable. After the gear ratio control operation, the control unit 120 performs clutch engagement operation for engaging high speed dog clutch CH. After that, the control unit 120 performs a ratio sweep operation which gradually changes the geometric gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission mechanism 10 from the synchronous gear ratio in a low speed mode to a prediction synchronous gear ratio predicted in a high speed mode. The control unit 120 performs a clutch release operation which applies operation pressure in a release direction to a low speed dog clutch CL at the same time with the start of the ratio sweep operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
