PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter suitable for changing the identification information on a driving equipment by utilizing data to be transmitted from the transmitter.
SOLUTION: This transmitter is provided with data generating means (45 and 46) for alternatively generating either data for controlling the operation of the driving equipment 1 or data for changing the identification information on the driving equipment 1 on the basis of the operation of a user to a prescribed input device 10, transmitting means (22, 23, 42 and 43) which are equipped with first and second transmitting parts 22 and 23 installed at mutually different positions on a casing 21 covering a transmitter 2, for transmitting generated data from these transmitting parts, and a transmitting part switching means 41 for switching the transmitting part to be used for data transmission corresponding to a data class so that the data for controlling the operation of the driving equipment 1 can be transmitted from the first transmitting part 22 and the data for changing the identification information of the driving equipment 1 can be transmitted from the second transmitting part 23.
