To provide a transparent gas barrier laminate which has transparency, impact resistance and pin hole resistance, shows an improved adhesion to a vapor-deposited thin film composed of a base material film and an inorganic oxide under humidity, keeps a high gas barrier property even after a heat treatment and causes no delamination after the heat treatment.
A transparent gas barrier film keeps a transparent vapor-deposited thin film composed of the inorganic oxide and a gas barrier coat layer overlying at least one pre-treated surface of a base material film, the pre-treatment being conducted by RIE. The transparent gas barrier laminate further keeps a heat-sealable resin layer overlying the gas barrier coat layer of the transparent gas barrier film. The base material film is a polyester-based film having a storage modulus of 9×108 to 1×1010 Pa at -20°C to +40°C and a peak temperature of β-transition tanδ of not higher than +10°C.
