Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a transparent laminate with no deterioration of gas barrier properties and high serviceability by laminating successively a thin layer of an inorg. compd., a gas barrier film layer contg. a hydrolyzate of a metal alkoxyide and a polyolefin thermoplastic resin layer.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent laminate with gas barrier properties are prepd. by forming successively a thin layer 3 of an inorg. compd., a gas barrier film layer 4 with excellent heat resistance and a polyolefin thermoplastic resin layer 5 on a polymer plastic base material 2. The base material 2 is a transparent polymer plastic material and is favorably a transparent film to make a good use of colorless transparency of a deposited thin layer and e.g., polyethylene terephthalate(PET) is used. The thin layer 3 of the inorg. compd. consists of a metalized film of an inorg. compd. such as silicon oxide, aluminum oxide and stannous oxide and has transparency and gas barrier properties for oxygen, steam, etc., and the thickness is 5-300nm.
