To obtain a rubber-modified copolymer resin composition excellent in transparency, hue and practical mechanical strength, to provide a molded product therefrom, and to provide a method for producing the composition.
The rubber-modified copolymer resin composition is obtained by copolymerization between a styrene-based monomer, a (meth)acrylic ester-based monomer and optionally another monomer in the presence of a rubbery polymer containing an antideteriorating agent of the general formula(1). In this resin composition, the volume-average size of rubber particles dispersed in the resin is 0.4-1.6μm, the difference between the refractive index of the rubbery polymer and that of a continuous phase yielded by copolymerization between the above monomers is ≤0.003 at 25°C. This resin composition is 5-11 in swelling index at 25°C in toluene and ≤700 mass ppm in the total amount of the monomers remaining in the resin. The molded product is obtained from this resin composition. The method for producing this resin composition is provided as described above.
