Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition having various uses due to its excellent transparency, impact resistance, especially retention thereof after the thermal history and an ultrahigh industrial utilization value.
CONSTITUTION: This transparent rubber-modified styrene-based resin composition comprises 4-30 pts.wt. rubber-like polymer containing (A) a specific styrene- butadiene copolymer comprising 5-50wt.% styrene and 50-95wt.% butadiene and 70-96 pts.wt. styrene-alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer having a refractive index substantially equal to that of the rubber-like polymer. The rubber-like polymer is in the form of particles, dispersed in the styrene-alkyl (meth)acrylate and having 0.1-2.0μm average particle diameter and 2.0-5.0 particle diameter distribution index.
