PURPOSE: To permit the smooth transport of a quenched thin band by forming a planar transportation passage by closely arranging a number of rollers, keeping a small interval, and oppositely arranging a pair of units consisting of a number of rollers and forming a transportation passage for the quenched thin band between the both units.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of disc rollers 3 are provided in which a plurality of disc-shaped (or spiral-plate shaped) discs 5 are fixed, keeping intervals, onto a shaft 4 rotatably supported in horizontal state. These rollers 3 are arranged in parallel onto a single plane so that the discs 5 of the contiguous rollers 3 are arranged alternately. Thus, the roller units 1 and 2 can be constituted. These roller units 1 and 2 are rotatably-driven at an equal speed in the same direction and arranged oppositely in the vertical direction, keeping the transport surface for a quenched thin band 10. In this case, the interval between the upper and lower units 1 and 2 is set equal to or a little larger than the thickness of the quenched thin band 10.
