To provide a transportation method of a cashew nutshell liquid which modifies anacardic acid into an anacardic acid metal salt so that the quality is hard to be degraded against an environmental change during transportation.
A hydroxide, carbonate, bicarbonate and phosphate of an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt are added and mixed to the cashew nutshell liquid having anacardic acid to selectively modify anacardic acid contained in the cashew nutshell liquid. After the cashew nutshell liquid is transported, the anacardic acid metal salt is regenerated to the anacardic acid in the transportation destination. As the anacardic acid metal salt is fully stable as compared with a state of anacardic acid, the quality is held and the safe and low-cost transportation is available.
