CONSTITUTION: In a nipping releasing means E, a roller 2 positioned at a transport starting edge part of a plurality of rollers 2 positioned on the downstream side in the transport direction is installed at one edge of a swing arm 17 installed in swingable ways onto a transport case 3, and the other edge of the swing arm 17 and the top edge of the operating rod 18a of a solenoid 18 installed onto the transport case 3 are connected. Therefore, when the result of the discrimination by a discriminating machine B is 'NO', the roller 2 is shifted by operating the solenoid 18, and when a damaged paper money is returned, the nipping transport in the transport starting edge parts of a pair of transport bodies 1 and 2 can be suppressed, and the defective paper money can be returned smoothly.
