Paper P can be easily removed by opening a paper chute 200 by providing the transporting path with: a nip release lever 220 for separating a heat roller 62 and a press roller 64 for holding and transporting the paper P, the paper chute 200 with one surface becoming a first paper transporting path 88; a duplex unit 214 forming a second paper transporting path 90 between a transporting path surface 207 in a state covering the paper chute 200; a handle 208 that is attached to the paper chute 200 to stick out over the second paper transporting path 90 and with a grasping section 208B extended over a cover 300 for covering an ejection roller 42 for transporting the paper P which is fed out from the first paper transporting path 88; and an inclined surface 211 that is provided on the handle 208 for lifting up the handle 208 by movement of a projection 222 of the nip release lever 220.
