To provide a transversal filter capable of reducing degradation of filter characteristics by avoiding errors of a delay time by means of adjustment, and to provide an equalizer.
The transversal filter includes: delays 10 and 20 which delay an input signal by a prescribed time; multipliers 30, 31, and 32 which multiply the input signal and the output signal of the delays 10 and 20 by tap coefficients T0, T1, and T2 and output multiplication results; and adders 51 and 52 which add outputs of the multipliers 30, 31, and 32. The delays 10 and 20 include M series (M is an integer of ≥2) of circuit means (11 to 13 and 21 to 23) different by delay times and selection means (14 and 24) for selecting one series from the circuit means.
