Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion correcting circuit for a case that situations of transverse pincushion distortion are different on a left half and a right half of a cathode-ray tube of a television receiver.
SOLUTION: The transverse pincushion distortion correcting circuit is provided with a vertical gain control characteristic generating circuit 9 for the left half and a vertical gain control characteristic generating circuit 10 for the right half, and gain control characteristics are changed over by a switch 4 at a horizontal correction peak point so that the transverse pincushion distortion correcting circuit is made more flexible and accurate.
