Abstract:
To shift to a redundant system control part while suppressing a communication load.SOLUTION: A travel control device includes: a target vehicle speed calculation part 104 for calculating a target speed on the basis of an inter-vehicle distance detected by an inter-vehicle distance detection part 100, and a speed of an own vehicle detected by an own vehicle speed detection part 102; a target acceleration calculation part 105 for calculating a target acceleration from the target speed; a normal system travel control part 202 for controlling the own vehicle at a normal time; and a redundant system travel control part 201 for controlling the own vehicle instead of the normal system travel control part 202 when abnormality occurs in the normal system travel control part 202. There are provided: a feed forward control of controlling so as to follow a preceding vehicle on the basis of the target acceleration calculated by the target acceleration calculation part 105; and a feed back control of correcting the target speed and the target acceleration when the speed and acceleration of the own vehicle do not reach the target speed and the target acceleration. The redundant system travel control part 201 controls a part of the feed back control when the normal system travel control part 202 is in a normal condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
