To provide a travel device in which the whole length of a machine body can be compact, in which a tension roller of a transmission belt can be easily disposed, and which can be composed at low cost.
In this travel device, side clutches for disconnecting power to the travel device are provided on the right and the left, and a differential transmission mechanism is provided between side clutch gears on the right and the left, and by driving the differential transmission mechanism by a hydraulic continuously variable transmission mechanism 6 for rotation, a rotation inner side axle 18 is continuously variably speed-changed in normal and reverse directions. The hydraulic continuously variable transmission mechanism 6 for rotation and a hydraulic continuously variable transmission mechanism 5 for travel are disposed to be parted to the front side and the rear side of the axle 18 at an axial interval from each other.
