Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling control device which can realize a braking according to the intention of a driver in decelerating during traveling control and also which is high in safety.
SOLUTION: In deceleration control, first a target deceleration αa of a self- vehicle is calculated by a target deceleration calculation means according to the deceleration of a preceeding vehicle (S30). Also, when the target deceleration αa is less than a specified deceleration X1, an actuator to add a braking force according to the target deceleration αa is operated controllably by a braking control means (S32, S36). On the other hand, when the target deceleration speed αa is over a specified limit X1, the actuator to supplementary add the braking according to the specified deceleration X1 is operated controllably (S32, S34, S36).
