PURPOSE: To provide a traveling device for a moving bed with improved performances of straight line running and direction changing capable of being easily moved by single man, by mounting fixed wheels to the moving bed with casters.

CONSTITUTION: Casters 2 are mounted in front and rear of this moving bed and fixed wheels 3R, 3L are mounted at the center in the longitudinal direction of the casters 2. An arm 6 connected to the fixed wheels 3R, 3L by a shaft 5 is installed and the tip of the arm is supported by an elevation device 4. The elevation device 4 is constructed so as to draw up and down the fixed wheels 3R, 3L connected to the elevation device 4. Thus, the straight running performance is improved without damaging the direction changing performance of the moving bed 1 and enables to be moved in all directions by supporting only with the casters 2 after lifting up the fixed wheels 3R, 3L from the floor face by the elevation device 4.
