When the driver spontaneously performs the steering operation so as to avoid the contact during when a contact possibility presumption means M1 presumes that contact possibility of an own vehicle and the object exists and an automatic braking means M2 executes the automatic braking, an automatic braking release gradient is calculated based on the contact possibility presumed by the contact possibility presumption means M1 and a steering operation amount detected by a steering operation amount detection means M3 and the automatic braking is released at a speed corresponding to the automatic braking release gradient. The automatic braking release gradient is set largely when the contact avoidance by the steering operation is easy to quickly release the automatic braking and it is set small when the contact avoidance is hard to gently release the automatic braking.
