To provide a travelling toy system which enables users to enjoy comparatively free travelling of the toy when travelling is made in a racing with a speedy mood or the like.
The travelling toy system 1 comprises a plurality of gates 10 and a travelling toy 20 which travels through the plurality of gates 10. The plurality of gates 10 each have a transmitter 11 for transmitting a travelling signal to the travelling toy 20. The travelling toy 20 includes a receiver 21 for receiving the travelling signals from the transmitters 11, a selection part 22a which selects the operation of turning left when the travelling signal is received with the receiver 21 from its left side or the operation of turning right when the travelling signal is received with the receiver 21 from its right side while selecting the operation of travelling straight when the travelling signal is received with the receiver 21 from ahead and a travelling control part 22b which controls the travelling following the operation selected by the selection part 22a.
