PURPOSE: To provide a tray-like paper container which is convenient for taking in and out doughnuts and the like and is easy to see the doughnuts contained in the container when they arc displayed.

CONSTITUTION: A tray type paper container consists of a rectangular bottom plate 2, front, rear, left and right side plates 3, 4, 5 and 6 which are continuously extended from the four sides of the bottom plate 2. The rear side plate 4 is connected to the left and right side plates 5 and 6 by adhesive flaps 7 and 8, and the front side plate 3 is lower than the rear side plate 4 and is not connected to the left and right side plates 5 and 6. As the front side plane 3 is low in height and is kept upright only by a fold, doughnuts and the like can be easily taken in an out and the contents can be seen favorably when they are displayed.
