To obtain a treating agent composition capable of effectively improving the color or feeling of fibers without deteriorating performances during the storage by treating a previously dyed cellulosic fiber and its textile product with a mixed aqueous solution of an exo type cellulase with methyl cellulose.
The previously dyed cellulosic fiber or its textile product is dipped in an aqueous solution at pH 5-8 prepared by dissolving an enzyme derived from higher plants, fungi, bacteria or mollusks, e.g. the one derived from Irpex lacteus, Trichoderma reesei or Aspergillus niger and the like at 0.01-0.5% concentration and methyl cellulose at 0.1-1.0% concentration, treated at a temperature within the range of ambient temperature to 50°C for 0.3-4 hr, then washed with water and subsequently dried.
