Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the sect treating agent providing yarn having slight smoking and tar formation and a small amount of scum produced during spinning and drawing of polyamide yarn and excellent storage stability, comprising a specific ester component, an amide, a carboxylate and a specified modified silicone.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 30-70wt.% of an ester (e.g. oleyl oleate) preferably composed of an aliphatic monohydric alcohol and an aliphatic monobasic acid, having 450-1,000 molecular weight is mixed with (B) 0.3-10wt.% of an amide composed of an aliphatic polyamine (e.g. ethylenediamine) and a 12-50C aliphatic dibasic acid (preferable example: dimer acid prepared by dimerizing an unsaturated fatty acid), (C) 0.2-3wt.% of an alkali metal salt (e.g. potassium acetate or potassium malonate) containing one or more carboxylic acids in the molecule, having ≤200 molecular weight and (D) 0.1-3wt.% of a 2-4C alkylene group- containing polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone (preferable example polyoxyethylene-modified) and made into emulsion. Polyamide amide yarn is provided with the emulsion during spinning or drawing and during after- processing to reduce smoking and tar formation, to improve spinnability and to prevent precipitation of oligomers.
