PURPOSE: To remove the harmful material contained in exhaust gas surely and efficiently, by dissolving the harmful material under high press. into a soln., then by reducing the press. of the harmless components of the exhaust gas to form bubbles.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas generated in a heating furnace 1 is fed through a flue 2, an exhaust gas feed pipe 4, and a fan 5, to the exhaust-gas-treating unit 3. In the unit 3, an inner cylinder 7 is installed in an outer cylinder 6 having a bottom to constitute a dissolving-soln. tank 8. The exhaust gas is sent pressurized into a deep descending flow path R1, which is formed within the inner cylinder 7, through a circulation line R and a press. pump P1. The exhaust gas is dissolved into the liq. by the press. caused by the descending flow, then bubbles of the harmless components contained in the dissolved exhaust gas are formed because of the decrease in press. while passing through a rising path R2 made between the outer and the inner cylinders 6, 7, the bubbled exhaust gas being released to the air. Dissolution of the exhaust gas into the liq. removes the harmful material contained in the exhaust gas surely and rapidly.
