To provide a preferable method for applying ideal treatment to waste panels like flat displays for recovering and reuse of glass plates and valuable metals, not available in the past.
A dry type treating method is for sorting glass plates from valuable metal-containing parts by stripping the valuable metal-containing layer parts, comprising processes of: cutting sealing member parts of ends of the waste panel; inverting glass plates formed into two layers through the cutting process for separating into single plates; blasting the glass plate surfaces; and recovering stripped powder generated in the blasting process by shot blasting. A sensor is mounted on a work platform, and ON-OFF of the blasting device operation and removal of waste panels inappropriate for treatment are controlled based on the detection information.
