To provide a therapeutic device which is used for brachytherapy for a prostate cancer or the like with a display device displaying linear images and convex images acquired by an ultrasonic probe and substantially increases the efficiency of a therapy without requiring skills of an operator.
The therapeutic device has a display device and a therapeutic tool. The therapeutic tool is equipped with the ultrasonic probe for displaying the linear images and convex images on the display device and a grid template with needle insertion holes provided in positions corresponding to the positional information of the convex image. The linear image is acquired by a group of ultrasonic transducers arranged in parallel on the peripheral side surface of the ultrasonic probe. The therapeutic device is equipped with a means for inputting positional information of the needle insertion holes of the grid template, an arithmetic means for calculating an angle relevant to an image surface which is introduced from the inputted information to the angle corresponding to the image surface of the current linear image and includes the needle, and a rotating mechanism for rotating the group of ultrasonic transducers about the ultrasonic probe at the angle calculated by the arithmetic means.
