Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of a fibrous glass material formed by efficiently firing and removing a binder resin from an inorganic fibrous material such as glass wool, easy in handling after firing and capable of obtaining glass powder useful for the glass wool or the like.
SOLUTION: The treating method of the fibrous glass material coated with the organic material is by charging a pulverized 3 material of the fibrous glass material in a flame 41 to fire and remove the applied organic material and to granulate a vitreous material. The length of the pulverized material of the fibrous glass material is preferably ≤500 μm, the fibrous glass material is preferably the glass short fiber (glass wool), the glass long fiber or the rock wool and the organic material is preferably the phenol resin, the polyvinyl acetate resin, the polyester resin, the polyurethane resin or the epoxy resin.
