Abstract:
To extremely simplify the transfer or introducing operation of foamed plastic beads into a retaining mold by reducing the size of foamed plastic beams having a closed cell structure by depressurization.
In the method for treating castable foamed plastic particles (32) and the apparatus performing this method, the foamed plastic particles (32) are reduced in bulk in a reduced pressure state and subsequently introduced into retaining molds (10, 34, 46, 52 and 56) to be restored to the original outer shape in a non-reduced pressure state.
